    Okay, to explain the Euro meta to give an idea of what we are trying to accomplish here:

    Euro meta is a very slow start kind of meta-game. You focus last hits 99% of the time unless a possible kill is smacking you in the face. You want to get those last hits, they add up to more than champion kills late-game. The supports completely give all the minion kills to their lane partner, get that Ashe/Corki/etc., fed to hell on minions. Grab things like phil stone to make up for some of the gold loss (Heart of Gold is also a decent item even for support.)

    Warding is crucial, instead of warding the bush right under you at top lane, ward a little above Baron, pay attention to that map and you'll see an incoming gank 5-8 seconds earlier, giving you more then enough time to get back if you are over-extended. Shit like that really needs to start getting done, (I know I am also guilty here).

    The goal is to poke them down to the point where you can initiate and have a very good chance of completely dominating that teamfight. Poke, heal, poke, heal, gogogogo.
    Todd already went over the lane specifics on how things should/can be done with this.
    AND I SAY AGAIN - BE PASSIVE - PASSIVENESS WILL WIN GAMES IF WE STICK TO IT.

    Also note the strong presence of single-champ focus to initiate teamfights, specifically with strong suppress/stun/reposition of damage-dealing champs. As such, champions like Malzahar, Warwick, Singed, Gragas, and Alistar are almost always included in comps, though they are not absolutely essential.

    Furthermore, the bottom-lane support champ should work on getting minions within last-hit range for the carry, and on harassing the enemy carry. Harassment by the support is more of an American style of play, but has been noted to be effective, and should definitely be considered, depending on the specific lane matchup.

    Definitely something the supports can help focus. Like for example Sona, if she can hit those power chords on the enemy champs (especially with her insane range) as often as she gets it refreshed it will help with your lane dominance.
    Also something that needs to be noted, last hits. I know I went over the focus of the last hits already. BUT, the whole goal is to keep the lane centered or favored slightly towards your side of the lane, giving better lane control when it comes down to making the enemy team overextend/keeping you near the safety of your turret. So auto attacking is ONLY acceptable when the lane would end up getting pushed completely to your turret and making you lose the ability too effectively last hit. So in short, HIT THOSE LAST HITS.
    Also, to go in further detail on the single champion focus. The goal is to force them to team fight with one less character, preferably their support or carry. So picking off one of them then forcing that team fight is a very important thing. For example, landing an Anivia wall between them and us/getting Janna to land her ult perfectly to launch one of their character (hopefully not the tank) to our team.
