I see you've found your way to the new (hopeful) home of The 42nd!

A definitive place for members and supporters of The 42nd Spec Ops Bn to go has been lacking for some years now; websites have come and gone like the... well... something that comes and goes often.

But! I've taken it upon myself to go forth and create! Lo and behold, this is what came out.

Can't believe I found this. My name's Barden from the old unit. I joined after the unit was about four years old already and dying down. Eventually was promoted by Wheeler to MC and attempted to lead Charlie company due to my involvement in Counter-Strike. Coyle? I believe it was just contacted me on AIM and told me about the holdouts here... and, well, here I am. About three years ago my parents sent me to a boarding school for 14 months and when I got out, the 42nd had died off and I couldn't get a hold of any of the old members. Anyway, just wanted to see how everyone was doing and how things are going.

Alot of tuners in Ocala haha. My boss has a Harley that's all chromed out and painted red and white stripes with blue starred flames that he takes to a bunch of shows. He's wone first place a few times, almost always qualifies. If you're ever in Florida and want to get your bike detailed- waxed and polished, that's what we do at my work. Mostly big rigs, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner, etc trucks, but we do all sorts of shit. And I should be doing the same thing when I move back to New England.

    How's it going Todd?

Its back up Walker. lol - it sucks that it took so long, but its good that they completely recoded the entire system.

Barden, sounds like a very profitable line of work. How much you make an hour?

It can be. I get paid by the job instead of hour, because there's no guaranteed work. One day I could make a hundred dollars hand polishing and the next day make six. I'm lucky that i work at the best shop on the exit, we constantly get jobs from people coming back to get their trucks polished again. I used to work at the other two shops , owned by the same person, and would barely make any money because of trucks coming back to get their trucks re-polished because of one reason or another and we wouldn't get paid, and there were too many people trying to work there. And anywhere you have a lot of people, there's drama. At the shop I work at now there are only two hand polishers for three machine polishers. And machine polishers make 40% more than the cutters per job. You get to meet a lot of interesting truck drivers and other people, to say the least.

Friends, family, weather. I could possibly still do the same work up there, but be able to charge more for my work because I would be the only polisher in the area
